Christmas has been and gone and your mantel piece has probably been left looking quite lonely. The mantel piece however, is supposed to be the main focal point of a room. Flat-panel TVs can often find their place above the fireplace, but the look can disrupt the fireplace’s decorative facade. Reclaim this space by recessing the unit into the wall above the fire.  Not only will this create a technical sophisticated feature it will also produce a great focal point for you and any visitors.

Colour Blocks One simple addition of colour can completely change a room’s look and feel. Try this trick on the wall above your fireplace. Try to choose a paint colour based on an object in your room or a colour you would like to incorporate into your room. This decoration is quick and affordable yet just as effective as any other.
